Why It's Okay to Stop Trying So Hard!
"I'm sharing my thoughts and feelings here, so you don't need to worry about me. The comment section is open for you to express your thoughts freely."
"What we consider good may not be the same in someone else's eyes, and vice versa." Constantly comparing yourself to others is a never-ending cycle. I used to wonder, "Why doesn't anyone put in the same effort for me as I do for them?"
But you know what? That kind of thinking is toxic. Why? Because we don't know what others have been through. What if something that seems "bare minimum" to us is actually a huge effort for someone else? Right?
This is why we should appreciate even the smallest gestures and efforts from others. But what if the reality is that people are actually taking us for granted, making no effort at all? It's unfair, right? Well, just accept it. Take what’s good for you and leave the rest behind.
We don't know the struggles others face daily or the reasons behind their seemingly "small" efforts. Imagine judging someone without knowing what they’ve been through—sounds unfair, right?
I learned this lesson the hard way. I once fought with a friend because I felt like they weren’t putting in any effort for me. I felt it was unjust, like I was being discarded and underestimated. I drowned in sadness. But once I learned the reasons behind it, I felt truly regretful.
And if you find yourself surrounded by people who consistently don't seem to care or make an effort, just walk away. Why stay?
After all, we have the power to control our own capacity. If you feel unappreciated, stop overextending yourself for others and save your energy for more positive things.
